Masks of stripes for Mk.82 bombs for the Thunderchief (1:32) — pre-cut self-adhesive painting masks from New Ware for spraying warning stripes on bombs in a large scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks of the brand New Ware for spraying colored warning stripes on 500-pound Mk.82 bombs in the large 1:32 scale. It is not a model and not bombs either — they are precisely shaped masks of thin masking tape which set out the position of the stripes and make it possible to spray clean edges without laborious measuring out. The set is intended for the bombs carried by the Thunderchief fighter-bomber.
The Mk.82 is an American aerial bomb of 500 pounds from the Mark 80 series, the most widespread unguided armament of tactical aircraft. The Thunderchief was an American fighter-bomber deployed above all during the war in Vietnam, where it commonly carried this munition. The colored stripes mark the kind of filling of the bomb.
Spray the base shade of the body, lay the masks in the place of the stripes and spray over them with the color of the stripe; then lift the masks off. In the large 1:32 scale the sharp edges come out especially well. The thin tape copies the rounded surface of the bomb. For the best adhesion, degrease the surface before sticking, free it of dust and press the mask down with a soft tool so that the paint does not run under the edge.
This is a masking set. The model, bombs and paints are not included in the package.
