Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Israeli two-seat F-16I Sufa fighter from Academy in the large 1:32 scale. The model captures the characteristic two-seat cockpit, the extended spine fairing and the conformal auxiliary tanks on the fuselage. The box tends to be completed with a clear and a tinted canopy part, small photo-etched details and turned parts, for example sensors; the exact contents are not stated here.
The F-16I Sufa, Hebrew for storm, is the Israeli two-seat version of the General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin F-16 multirole fighter, derived from Block 52. It differs from the standard F-16 in the extended spine carrying additional avionics and in the conformal fuel tanks along the sides of the fuselage, which increase the range without taking up the external pylons. In the armory of the Israeli Air Force it fulfills fighter as well as strike duties.
In the large 1:32 scale it is advisable to finish both seats and the instrument panels in the cockpit before closing the fuselage. Mask the cockpit glazing; leave the tinted canopy part transparent and do not overspray it. Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic, treat the surface with primer and apply the shades with an airbrush. Paint the conformal tanks and the external stores separately and fit them at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
