P-40E Warhawk undercarriage covers in 1:32 scale are resin replacement covers from Quickboost for a model of this American fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin accessory from Quickboost brings precisely cast covers (doors) for the main landing gear of a model of the American Curtiss P-40E Warhawk fighter in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit, but a replacement part that swaps the thicker plastic covers from the box for thinner castings with a faithful thickness and fine detail on the inner face.
On a model with the landing gear down, the gear covers are clearly visible from below and from the side. The plastic parts from the box tend to be too thick and look unrealistic; the resin castings have a faithful edge thickness and capture the bracing and the details of the inner face better, so the landing gear bay looks more convincing.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent to remove mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off carefully with a saw and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Check the fit and the orientation before gluing; bring out the inner faces of the covers with shading and a fine wash.
The accessory is supplied as a resin replacement part, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
