Quickboost 1:32 F-16C/CJ - covers with Remove Before Flight flags is a tiny resin set of accessories for a model of the F-16 fighter in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item is not a kit of an airplane but a tiny resin set of accessories from the Quickboost brand. It contains the covers that are fitted over openings and sensors on an aircraft when it is parked and that carry warning flags with the lettering requiring their removal before flight. On a model it is a typical element of a machine captured in the parked configuration or in a diorama on the ramp.
A model of a parked aircraft without covers comes across as unfinished - it is precisely the red flags that a viewer sees first in photographs of machines on the ground. A resin casting manages the soft-looking shape of a cover and a thin flag substantially more credibly than it could be made from plastic. In the large 1:32 scale every detail like this is easy to read, so a tiny set really does tell on a model.
Wash the parts in warm water with detergent because of the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a sharp knife and sand the contact surfaces gently. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue, and with tiny parts applying the glue with a pin works well. They can be painted with a brush: covers and flags tend to have a pronounced signal color, which it is advisable to apply onto a light base, so that it is saturated enough. The lettering on a flag is handled in this scale with a decal or with a very fine brush - check what is part of the package.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
