Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail part in 1:32 scale from the maker Aires, the Quickboost line. It is not a kit of the airplane but an accessory that replaces the plastic air scoop, that is the intake cover, on the side of the fuselage with a more precise resin part with faithful inner as well as outer texture. The part is meant to be built into a matching plastic model.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9, nicknamed Dora, was a late version of the Fw 190 fighter with a lengthened nose and the Junkers Jumo 213 inverted V12 engine. The side air scoop on the fuselage served to feed air to the powerplant and is one of the characteristic features of this version. A faithful rendering of it raises the realism of a build.
Wash the part free of mold release residue, cut off the casting block carefully and glue it with super glue. Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Dry-fit the part before gluing and rework the surrounding plastic if need be. It is a good idea to darken the inside of the intake and to match the surface to the surrounding finish of the fuselage.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
