The resin correction part correct engine cowling for the Fw 190D-9 from the Czech brand Quickboost in 1:32 scale: an accessory, not a model kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin accessory from the Quickboost brand in 1:32 scale offers a precisely shaped engine cowling for a model of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 fighter. It is not an aircraft kit but a correction part that replaces the less faithful cowling from a plastic kit and brings the profile of the forward fuselage to the correct shape.
The Fw 190D-9, nicknamed the Dora, was the long-nose version of the Focke-Wulf powered by an inverted V12 with an annular radiator, which gave the aircraft its lengthened nose. The cowling from box kits tends to be too wide around the gun troughs or to have an inaccurate cross section; a precisely shaped cowling narrows the profile and brings it closer to the elliptical outline of the real aircraft.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water because of the mold release agent. Cut off the casting block with a saw or a knife, sand the surface and protect your airways when sanding resin. Replace the original cowling from the kit with the resin one and bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate); level the transitions with filler if needed. Apply a primer before painting.
It is supplied as a resin accessory for experienced modelers, not as a stand-alone kit. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
