The F-14A Tomcat exhaust nozzles (open) 1:32 are a resin (3D-printed) replacement for the simplified parts from the boxed F-14A Tomcat kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely produced resin exhaust nozzles for the F-14A Tomcat from Reskit in 1:32 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified nozzles from the boxed kit with a more faithful and finely drawn copy. The set captures the nozzles in the open position (typical of afterburner).
The Grumman F-14A Tomcat is an American carrier fighter with a variable-geometry wing and Pratt & Whitney TF30 engines. Its exhaust nozzles, known in slang as turkey feathers, change position according to the engine setting.
It is a resin (3D-printed) set for experienced modelers. First wash the parts to remove any release agent and uncured print resin, cut the casting blocks off and sand the mating surfaces — protect your airways while sanding resin. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with cement for plastic. The inside of the nozzles comes out well with a dark shade, metallic highlights and gentle emphasis of the recesses with a wash.
The set is supplied as unpainted resin parts. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
