A set of three resin Revi 16B reflector sights in 1:32 scale from the maker Quickboost. It is a precisely cast replacement for the onboard sight in the cockpits of Luftwaffe fighters of the Second World War, not a stand-alone aircraft model. The detail part replaces the coarser or simplified sight from a base kit.
The Revi 16B (Reflexvisier) was the standard German reflector sight of the later part of the Second World War. It was fitted in a number of Luftwaffe fighters and fighter-bombers, among them the late versions of the Messerschmitt Bf 109, the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 and the jet-powered Me 262. The package contains three pieces, so it will do for several models or leave a spare in case such a small part is lost or damaged.
Resin parts call for more careful work: wash them to remove mold release residue, separate them from the casting block carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways while sanding. Apply primer before painting, leave the body of the sight in the cockpit shade and suggest the reflector glass with a clear part or a drop of gloss varnish.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
