On models of aircraft with a piston engine the propeller is among the most exposed parts. Injection-molded plastic is limited by the fact that a propeller blade has to be thick enough to be released from the mold, and the result is a blunt profile, a thick trailing edge and a parting seam along the whole length of the blade. A resin casting has a thinner and sharper blade profile, truer twist and a crisp transition into the propeller hub. At the large 1:32 scale the difference shows at first glance.
The Ju 87 was a single-engine dive bomber with fixed landing gear used during the Second World War. The D version was a reworked and aerodynamically cleaned-up variant with a different cowling and canopy shape. The G version was an anti-tank conversion with cannons in pods under the wing. Both versions used the same type of powerplant and propeller, which is why one set covers them.
Wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release agent. On propellers the casting block tends to sit on the hub or at the blade tips: cut it off with a razor saw and level the face on sandpaper; when sanding resin, work wet and protect your airways. Resin blades are more brittle than plastic ones, so handle the finished part by the hub. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint over a primer and finish by suggesting light paint wear on the leading edges of the blades.
