Self-adhesive cut New Ware masks for spraying the national insignia and the tactical markings onto the model of the night fighter Heinkel He 219 A-7 Uhu in 1:32 scale. It is not a decal sheet and it is not a kit either. The mask is laid on a surface that is already painted and clear coated, the marking is sprayed with an airbrush and once the mask is removed it stays in the layer of paint, not on top of it.
A decal is always a thin film laid on the surface. On a matte finish its edge tends to show as a glossy outline, on a broken-up surface it breaks over rivets and panel lines, and when it is applied badly it silvers. Sprayed markings have none of that: they have the same sheen as the surrounding paint, they follow the relief of the surface and they take later weathering without the risk of the film lifting. In a large scale, where a marking is big and conspicuous, the difference is visible at first glance.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
