1:32 Messerschmitt Bf-108 seatbelts STEEL is a set of Eduard photo-etched seat harness in 1:32 scale from the STEEL line — pre-painted steel for the interior of a model, not a mask, a decal or a kit.

This is a small but effective photo-etched set by the Czech manufacturer Eduard: the seat harness for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 108 in 1:32 scale. The STEEL line stands apart from the other photo-etched sets — the parts are not brass but steel, and they arrive printed in color, so painting and a primer are unnecessary. Compared with full interior etches it solves a single detail, but the one that is most in view in the cockpit. The set is neither a model nor a kit.
The Bf 108 was an all-metal four-seat low-wing monoplane from the mid-1930s with a generously glazed cockpit. It is precisely because of the large windows that a model in 1:32 scale lets you see into the cabin from several sides, the rear seats included. Empty seats without belts therefore catch the eye far more than on fighters with a narrow canopy.
Install the belts while building the interior, that is before the fuselage is joined. Separate the part with a scalpel, level the tab with a fine file and handle it only with tweezers afterwards so that the print does not rub off. Steel has the property of staying in shape once folded — so shape the strap dry first, the way it would lie on the cushion and over the backrest, and only fix the finished shape with a drop of thin super glue. Be especially careful with glue around glazed cockpits: cyanoacrylate fumes fog clear parts, so glue before you fit the glazing, or let the joint cure away from the model. Lightly darkening the folds with a wash and gently polishing the sheen of the hardware both help the realism.
The set contains photo-etched belts only. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
