Messerschmitt Bf 108 Taifun LööK 1:32 is a set from the LööK range by Eduard: a finished instrument panel with glazed dials complemented by steel seat harness belts. It is not a kit, not a masking set and not a full photo-etched set.

LööK is Eduard's own range, which stands between photo-etching and resin. Instead of building an instrument panel up from several photo-etched layers, it is supplied as a finished cast part with the dials rendered in color and with imitation glass, so unlike a flat photo-etched panel it has real depth and gloss. The panel comes with seat harness belts in the STEEL form, which hold their shape once bent. The whole thing is conceived for quick fitting: the part is practically just seated in place. That is precisely what sets LööK apart from a full photo-etched set, which is more laborious and covers the whole interior, and from masks for the glazing, which are an entirely different product.
The Messerschmitt Bf 108 Taifun was a German four-seat all-metal low-wing aircraft of the 1930s for touring and liaison flights. It had a civilian-style glazed cabin, a large part of which is visible on a model, so investing in the interior pays off more than on fighter types with a cramped, less accessible cockpit. In 1:32 scale the instrument panel also takes up so much area that the difference between a flat decal and a three-dimensional part is apparent at first glance.
First sand the molded relief of the panel off the plastic part, so that the new panel sits flat and does not lift. Wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water. It is glued with cyanoacrylate applied in a minimal amount; note that the fumes of cyanoacrylate can fog the glossy surface of the imitation glass, so glue sparingly and let it vent freely. Bend the belts gradually and lead them loosely rather than taut. The panel is supplied finished and needs no further painting.
This is an accessory to a model, not a stand-alone kit. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
