This is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory for the cockpit of a model in 1:32 scale. The LööK range from the Czech company Eduard is built around a resin instrument panel with color printing: the dials, their bezels and the labels are all finished, so the most laborious part of completing a cockpit falls away. LööK sets usually also come with pre-colored seat belts; the contents of the particular package are stated on the box. The set is intended for the E-3 and E-4 subversions.
The Bf 109E was a single-seat fighter with a liquid-cooled V engine, used in the first years of the Second World War. The E-3 and E-4 subversions differed above all in armament and in the form of the canopy, but the layout of the instrument panel stays close enough between them for the manufacturer to cover both with one set. In the large 1:32 scale the cockpit is very well visible through the canopy, so the detail is worth having.
Wash the resin part in lukewarm water with detergent and let it dry. Cut the casting block off with a saw or a cutter rather than breaking it off, and sand the area flush; sand wet and protect your breathing. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue, ideally a gel, which gives you time to adjust the position. Do not overspray the color printing with lacquer thinner; unify the surface only with an acrylic matte or satin varnish. Before closing the fuselage, always check dry whether the panel clashes with the plastic cockpit tub.
This is an accessory, not a model on its own. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Check compatibility with your kit before ordering.
