Quickboost 1:32 MiG-21 radio altitude sensors early v. is a small resin set of radio altimeter antennas in the form of the early versions, intended for a plastic MiG-21 kit.

A small detail set in cast resin in 1:32 scale from the Quickboost brand, which is made by the Czech company Aires. It replaces the radio altimeter antennas on the underside of the fuselage of the MiG-21 fighter in the form corresponding to the early versions. It is not an aircraft kit, but a small accessory for a model under way.
The radio altimeter antennas are thin moldings under the fuselage which cannot be cast finely enough in injection-molded plastic — because of the mold they are always thicker than they should be, and they are often damaged as well when cut off the sprue. A resin casting can render them in a realistic thickness and with a crisp outline. In 1:32 scale they are clearly visible under the fuselage, so a small replacement shows in the result. The set is tied to the form of the early MiG-21 versions; later machines had antennas of a different shape and arrangement, for which a separate variant of the set exists.
Wash the parts in warm soapy water because of the mold release agent. Cut them off the casting block with a sharp new knife, ideally on a soft surface — they are brittle and thin, so they snap if handled roughly. Cut the original plastic antennas off the kit and sand the surface smooth. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, and a really small drop applied with a toothpick is enough. We recommend gluing the antennas on only after the underside of the fuselage has been sprayed, so that they are not damaged during handling and masking. Do the sanding wet and with respiratory protection.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The basic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
