This resin detail set replaces the engine exhaust nozzle on the MiG-23 aircraft model in 1:32 scale, with the petals in the open position. It brings finely cast nozzle walls with a faithful structure inside and out that the plastic part from the kit usually does not capture. This is not an airplane model but an accessory that raises fidelity.
The MiG-23 (NATO reporting name Flogger) is a Soviet single-seat fighter with a variable-geometry wing from the Cold War era. The variable engine exhaust nozzle changes its cross-section according to the flight regime; the open position corresponds to operation at higher thrust. A faithfully rendered nozzle markedly improves the look of the rear end of a model.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways when sanding. Pick out the inside of the nozzle in metallic shades and suggest the heat discoloration with fine washes and pigments.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin accessory. Glue, paints and the airplane model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
