The cast barrels have a faithful section and sharp mouths; they replace the coarser or simplified parts from the base kit and raise the realism of the armament. The Nakajima Ki-44 Shoki was a Japanese interceptor of the Second World War, powered by a radial engine. It was designed with the stress on rate of climb and speed, for a quick strike against bombers, and part of the agility usual on the Japanese fighters of the day was given up for that. The II Hei subversion was among the later variants, with reworked armament.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It works well to spray a primer, then the metallic shades, and finally to pick the mouths and the shadows out with a dark wash.
This is an aftermarket resin accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue, paints and any other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
