A set of self-adhesive masks for spraying the markings and stencils onto a model of the Bell P-39Q Airacobra fighter in 1:32 scale, the manufacturer's part number 32DET047. The masks are machine-cut from a low-tack film, they sit on a cured paint finish and peel away once the paint has dried. The manufacturer intends the set for the P-39Q kit from Special Hobby, which released it under the same name, Makin Airacobras.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra had a layout unusual for a fighter of its day: the Allison engine sat behind the pilot, the propeller was driven through a long extension shaft and the aircraft stood on nose landing gear. A large-caliber cannon was mounted on the propeller axis. The Q version moved the wing machine guns into gondolas under the wing. American Airacobras served in the Pacific as well, among other places from airfields on Makin Atoll in the Gilbert Islands.
For builders of large scales who dislike the carrier film of decals, and for modelers who focus on American aircraft from the Pacific. It assumes an airbrush and some experience with masking.
These are masks for painting the model, not a kit. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
