A pre-colored photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard meant to improve the interior of a model of the Curtiss P-40M fighter in 1:32 scale. The designation S.A. means a self-adhesive form: the key parts have an adhesive layer on the back, so gluing with super glue is not needed. Please note that this is an accessory, not the airplane model itself.
The pre-printed colored photo-etched parts replace or supplement the plastic features of the cockpit, typically the instrument panel, the side panels, the levers and the seat belts. The result is a deeper and more realistic interior, which cannot be reached on simplified plastic parts. The colors are fired directly onto the metal, so there is no need to paint the panels by hand.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface and bend them with tweezers or a photo-etch bending tool. With the self-adhesive parts, take care that the surface is degreased and clean. Glue the small non-adhesive parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate) in a small amount. For the full effect we recommend a fine final matte varnish.
