It is not an aircraft model but a set of replacement barrels for the wing machine guns for a matching kit of the American Republic P-47D Thunderbolt fighter. The resin castings (often combined with metal on thin barrels) have a crisper profile and avoid the problem of blocked or bent plastic barrels. The set is intended for more experienced modelers.
The Republic P-47D Thunderbolt was one of the heaviest single-seat fighters of the Second World War. It was powered by a massive radial engine and carried eight heavy 12.7 mm machine guns spread along the leading edges of the wings. The protruding muzzles are among the characteristic features of the subject and are clearly visible on a model.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, separate them from the casting blocks carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. The muzzles come into their own once painted in a metallic shade and lightly blackened.
This is an accessory resin set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
