The set contains only the seat belts for the pilot's seat, but in the rendering that makes the biggest difference. The STEEL designation means that the fret is not of the usual brass but of steel. Steel holds its shape considerably better once bent, so a belt can be formed into a natural sag, thrown over the edge of the seat or left hanging freely into the cockpit, and it will stay there. A brass belt likes to spring back and cracks when shaped repeatedly. The parts are pre-painted, that is, printed at the factory, including the fittings and the buckles.
In 1:32 scale the pilot's seat is a large and clearly visible element. Kits usually either have no belts at all or render them as relief on the plastic, which looks hard and flat. Metal belts stay thin, cast a shadow of their own and immediately give the model credibility of scale. It is one of the quickest ways to lift the look of the cockpit.
The P-51D Mustang was an American escort fighter with a Packard V-1650 engine and a bubble canopy. The later production batches differed from the early machines in changes to the fuselage and the cockpit equipment, which is why the manufacturer distinguishes its accessories by the period of production.
Separate the parts with a scalpel on a glass or metal surface. Make the bends over the edge of a razor blade or in a bending tool; steel takes a sharper bend than brass. Do not overcoat the printing, only knock the sheen back carefully at the end if it bothers you. Use super glue applied in a minimal amount, ideally with the tip of a pin. Have the seat finished and painted before you seat the belts.
The set is an accessory for a kit, not a standalone model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
