1:32 Soviet fighter pilot WW II N°1 is a resin figure of a Soviet fighter pilot of the Second World War in 1:32 scale from the Black Dog brand. It is not a kit of an aircraft but an accessory to a model.

One figure cast in resin in 1:32 scale, that is in a size in which the features of the face, the folds of the clothing and small items of equipment are visible. It is supplied unpainted and with casting blocks that have to be removed before the build. The designation N°1 distinguishes this pose from the other figures of the same line; the second figure and the set containing both are separate items. The exact number of parts of the casting and the particular pose are not stated.
During the Second World War fighter pilots dressed according to the season and the type of machine: a flying helmet with goggles, a flight suit or a tunic with parachute harness, and high boots. A figure in 1:32 scale is made for models of single-seat fighters in the same scale. Where you stand it depends on its pose; the usual placing is beside the machine, in a diorama with a piece of airfield surface, or on its own in a display case as a small study.
First wash the casting in warm water with detergent, so that no mold release agent stays on the surface and the paint holds. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife, not with nippers, because resin is brittle and breaks off even where you do not want it to. Sanding is best done under water or at least with breathing protection, because resin dust is not for breathing. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue; ordinary cement for plastic does not work on resin. Before painting, apply a thin coat of base and only then build the shades of flesh and clothing up in glazes; emphasize the depths with a dark wash and draw the edges out gently with a dry brush.
The figure is supplied unpainted and unassembled. Paints, glue and a model of an aircraft are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
