A resin air inlet (an air scoop) for models of the F-4B Phantom II fighter in 1:48 scale. The accurate casting with a deepened mouth replaces the plastic part and improves the look of this marked detail of the airframe.
The smaller air inlets supplied air to the cooling and to the accessories of the airplane. The resin casting has a realistically open and clean mouth, which injection-molded plastic often renders as blanked off. This is an accessory, not an aircraft model.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut the casting block away and glue it on with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Shade the inside of the mouth with a darker shade for an impression of depth.
It is supplied as a resin detail set; paints, glue and the base model are not part of the package.
