Eduard Spitfire Mk.II masks 1:32 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for a model of the British Spitfire Mk.II fighter. It gives crisp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:32 scale is intended for a plastic model of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.II fighter. It is neither a kit nor a model in its own right, but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want crisp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage areas without tediously cutting tape by hand.
The Supermarine Spitfire is among the best-known British fighters of the Second World War. The Mk.II version followed on from the early Mk.I shortly after the Battle of Britain and was given a more powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin XII engine and a new system for starting the engine. The machine kept the characteristic elliptical wing and the excellent handling the Spitfire became famous for.
Degrease the glazing of the canopy and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them on the frame of the windscreen and the sliding section of the canopy, pressing them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The masks for the wheels separate the tire from the disc. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a shallow angle, so that the fresh coat is not disturbed.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
