Eduard masks Spitfire Mk.IXc 1:32 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for the model of the British Spitfire Mk.IXc fighter. It gives sharp color divisions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:32 scale is meant for the plastic model of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX fighter fitted with the c type wing. It is neither a kit nor a model of its own but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color divisions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without lengthy cutting of tape by hand.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX is among the most widespread versions of this famous British fighter of the Second World War. It came about as a quick response to the new German opponents and received the powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin 60 series engine with a two-stage supercharger. The letter c refers to the universal type of wing with an armament layout that allowed cannons and machine guns to be combined.
Degrease the glazing of the canopy and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them on the frame of the windscreen and of the sliding section of the canopy, pressing them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The wheel masks separate the tire from the hub. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a sharp angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
