A resin replacement part, not a model. This resin casting from the Czech brand Quickboost (Aires) in 1:32 scale represents the pilot's seat with cast safety belts for the British fighter the Supermarine Spitfire. It is an easily fitted resin detail that combines the seat and the belts in one part and replaces the plastic out of the box. It is supplied unpainted and without the model of the airplane.
Once the canopy is swung open, the seat is the main focal point of the cockpit. The Spitfire was among the most famous British fighters of the Second World War, and its characteristic shell seat with its harness is a prominent element of the interior. Cast belts with a faithful sag save the work of photo-etched parts or tape and, once painted, give the cockpit a realistic look.
Wash the mold release residue off the part, cut the casting block off carefully and sand the mating surface with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting; lay the shell and the belts on with an airbrush or a brush, pick the buckles out with a metal shade and draw the detail out with a wash and dry shading.
The part is supplied unpainted as a resin casting. Glue, paints and the model of the airplane are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
