A resin replacement part, not a model. This resin casting from the Czech brand Quickboost (Aires) in 1:32 scale represents the packed brake chute (in its stowed, undeployed state) for the Soviet Sukhoi Su-25K Frogfoot attack aircraft. It is an easily fitted resin detail for the chute bay in the rear fuselage. It is supplied unpainted and without an aircraft model.
The Su-25 is a tough attack aircraft for close support of ground units, in service since the 1980s. The brake chute shortens the landing run and is stowed in a container in the rear part of the fuselage. The resin part captures its packed form with a faithful texture of the stowed bag, so a finished model looks realistic with the chute bay cover closed or slightly open.
Wash the part to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting block carefully and sand the mating surface with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and try the position dry. Apply primer before painting; the fabric look of the bag is well supported by matte shades, a fine wash and dry shading to bring out the folds.
The part is supplied unpainted, as a resin casting. Glue, paints and the aircraft model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
