A set of turned metal barrels in 1:32 scale from the Polish manufacturer MASTER for the late versions of the Supermarine Spitfire fighter with the revised wing (Mk.21/24). It contains barrels for the Hispano 20 mm cannons in fairings as a more accurate replacement for the plastic parts, with a truer shape and muzzle.
The late Spitfires of the Mk.21 and Mk.24 series received a revised wing with four Hispano cannons. The set replaces the plastic barrels with accurate metal parts and brings out the characteristic look of the armament of these late versions. The turned parts have a fine, correctly indicated muzzle bore, which is hard to achieve on injection-molded plastic.
Cut the parts off their casting stubs and clean them up. Fit the metal barrels in place of the plastic parts and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Before painting, apply a suitable base coat (primer) to the metal so that the paint holds well.
This is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory set of replacement barrels. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
