Swordfish Mk.I exhaust in 1:32 scale is a resin replacement exhaust from Quickboost for a model of this British torpedo biplane.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin accessory from the Quickboost brand brings a precisely cast exhaust for a model of the British Fairey Swordfish Mk.I torpedo biplane in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit but a replacement part that will take the place of the simplified exhaust from the box with a more faithful casting with a fine surface and a suggested open mouth.
The Fairey Swordfish was a torpedo, reconnaissance and anti-submarine biplane of the Fleet Air Arm with fabric-covered construction, powered by a Bristol Pegasus radial engine. It was nicknamed the Stringbag and became renowned among other things for the attacks on the Italian fleet at Taranto and for its part in the sinking of the battleship Bismarck. The collector exhaust on the radial engine is a conspicuous detail of the nose; a faithful casting improves it markedly.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap, because of the mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off carefully with a saw and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The mouths can be drilled out finely, and dark metallic, sooty and slightly rusty shades give the exhaust a realistic look.
The accessory is supplied as a resin replacement part, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
