It is a plastic kit of an aircraft in the large 1:32 scale, released under the name The English Patient. Which particular form of the subject the set captures, what the contents of the package are and which markings it offers are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Among aircraft, 1:32 is one of the larger scales. A finished model takes up noticeably more room on a shelf than the same type in a small scale, but it will take considerably finer work. It pays to put time into it: the interior of the cockpit is visible once finished, the panels and surface details can be brought out, and any accessories in photo-etched metal or resin stand out in this scale.
Fit the parts together dry before gluing and check the mating faces. Cut surplus material and traces of manufacture away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder. Use a cement intended for plastic models and follow the order in the instructions; with large models it pays to fit the fuselage and the wing together dry before anything in the cockpit is glued for good. Wash and degrease the surfaces before painting, and with a large model it also pays to unify the base, so that the final shade comes out the same over the whole area.
For modelers who want one striking model instead of several smaller ones and do not mind a longer build. A large scale forgives fewer mistakes in the clean-up, but rewards with detail.
Paints, glue, thinner and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
