The Toyota 86 is a sports coupe with rear-wheel drive and a low-built body. It was offered in several painted versions, and this kit matches the blue one, which the manufacturer lists under the designation Azurite Blue.
The Snap Kit designation in the name means that the parts are fitted together by snapping. The joints hold by their shape, so the model can be built with no glue, and the build is therefore quicker than on a classic injection-molded kit. The 1:32 scale gives a car roughly the length of a palm, so it fits onto a shelf even where there is no room for bigger models. How many parts the package holds and whether decals are enclosed should be verified in the data of the manufacturer.
First try fitting the parts together dry so that you know how they engage. A snapped joint holds firmly and taking it apart again tends to be difficult, so think the order of the build out in advance, above all with the glazing and the interior. If you are going to paint the model, wash the parts beforehand in lukewarm water with a little detergent and let them dry, because the paint then holds better. Consider that a coat of paint increases the size of the pins and the holes, so the joints usually need cleaning up lightly. Sand the remains left after separating the parts down with fine abrasive paper.
The model is supplied unassembled. Paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
