USAAF Fighter pilot 1940-45 No. 1 (1:32) is a Black Dog resin figure depicting a fighter pilot of the US Army Air Forces of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure set in 1:32 scale from the Czech brand Black Dog. It represents a fighter pilot of the US Army Air Forces (USAAF) of the years 1940 to 1945 and is meant to complete models of American fighters.
USAAF fighter pilots flew machines such as the P-51 Mustang, the P-47 Thunderbolt and the P-38 Lightning over Europe and the Pacific alike. The typical flying outfit with a vest, a helmet and a parachute characterizes the era of piston fighters well. The figure helps to set a model in context, whether it stands beside the aircraft or sits in the cockpit.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with your airways protected. It is assembled with cyanoacrylate glue, and gaps can be filled with putty. After the base coat, work the figure up with acrylics or oils; on the flying outfit the tones of khaki, brown leather and light equipment come out well.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and the aircraft model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
