An accessory set of exhaust nozzles for models of the Northrop F-5 Tiger II family in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Northrop F-5 Tiger II is a light supersonic fighter with two engines, a slender fuselage and a small wing. It spread to many countries and to this day also serves as an adversary in air combat training. The pair of exhaust nozzles at the end of the fuselage is clearly visible on it, and on a model it shows at once whether the nozzles are thin-walled and hollow or merely suggested.
Replacement exhaust nozzles in 1:48 scale for the F-5 Tiger II family. The set replaces the parts from the kit and brings a finer inner profile and a thinner trailing edge than an injection mold allows. Compatibility with a particular kit and the extent of the work on the fuselage are stated by the manufacturer in the instructions.
The parts are not made of polystyrene, so glue them with cyanoacrylate or epoxy. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down until the edge of the nozzle is straight and equally thick all the way round. Wash in lukewarm soapy water and degrease before painting. Paint the inside of the nozzles before you seat them on the fuselage. Apply metallic shades in thin coats and add depth with a darker wash, so that the petals of the nozzle stand out; keep the matte soot at the mouth itself restrained.
The aircraft kit, paints, glue and decals are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
