An accessory set in resin in 1:200 scale intended for models of the narrow-body Boeing 737 airliners of the newer generation. It is not a kit: the package holds replacement parts, specifically landing flaps in the extended position and engine nacelles of the CFM56-7B series. A model in the landing configuration looks livelier on a shelf than an aircraft with a smooth, closed wing, and a faithful nacelle is a recognition feature on this type. It is based on the dimensions of the Hasegawa kit.
The Boeing 737 in the generation designated 600, 700 and 800 received a new wing, revised tail surfaces and CFM56-7B turbofan engines. A typical feature of this powerplant is the non-circular nacelle inlet with a flattened lower section, a solution that came about because of the low landing gear and the small ground clearance under the wing. The family became the backbone of operations for low-cost as well as traditional carriers all over the world, and in 1:200 scale it is among the most built of airliners.
Wash the parts first in warm soapy water because of the mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off and sand the surfaces under water, so that no dust is raised. They are glued with super glue; for the nacelles the gel version pays off, as it gives time to line them up with the line of flight. Offer the flaps up dry and check that both halves of the wing have the same angle of extension; any asymmetry shows at first glance on a finished model.
