A Navy SEALs figure set in 1:35 scale from Black Dog. The item is marked as a set in its name, so it aims at modelers who want to build a whole scene, not a single figure.
Responsibility details are not available.
This figure set from Black Dog in 1:35 scale is devoted to the American naval special warfare units. The designation set in the name distinguishes it from the items listed with a serial number as single figures; this item aims at building a whole scene. Scale 1:35 is the standard for modern military dioramas.
Naval special warfare units work in small formations that act independently and rely on being well drilled rather than on numerical superiority. That shows in how such a group looks in the field: the figures do not stand in a line but spread out, each with its own field of view and task, and their equipment differs in detail according to the role in the group. For a figure modeler this is an ideal starting point, because the group has an internal logic of its own and the scene does not have to be laboriously explained with further elements.
The most important decision comes before the brush: the arrangement. Turn the figures so that their gazes do not all lead to the same point but cover different directions; that is what a real formation looks like. Keep the palette uniform and build the variety on the equipment. Let the surface be the unifying element: the same dust, the same damp, the same way of emphasizing the edges on every figure in the scene.
