A fire extinguisher in the British version, an accessory for vehicle models and for dioramas in 1:16 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The fire extinguisher is one of those small items that decide the overall impression of a finished model. Combat and support vehicles have always carried one, because a fire inside the machine is faster than any help from outside; the extinguisher is therefore kept within reach in a bracket on the fender, on the side of the bed or right beside the driver's seat. The GB in the designation refers to the British version.
This is a standalone accessory in 1:16 scale. That is a large scale, used for sizeable vehicle models and for radio-controlled machines, and small equipment does not get lost in it: the viewer sees it at first glance and recognizes right away whether it has the right shape and surface. The extinguisher can be seated in a bracket on the vehicle, placed in the interior, or stood freely in a scene, for instance against the wall of a field workshop.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder so that the cylindrical shape stays smooth. Wash and degrease the part before painting, and choose the glue according to the material it is made of. Choose the shade according to the real subject and the period you are building. On an otherwise single-color vehicle the fire extinguisher is a striking accent, so it is worth painting it separately and gluing it on last. Pick out the metal parts of the bracket and the clamps with a dry brush; 1:16 scale will carry even a hinted data label.
For builders of large vehicle models in 1:16 scale and for builders of scenes whose finished machine lacks its small equipment. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
