The package from 77propeller brings four resin chocks of the kind that belonged to the basic equipment of the Luftwaffe ground crews in the Second World War. This is not a kit of an aircraft or a finished model, but a small accessory that is added to a kit already built or to an airfield scene and lends it credibility.
A chock pushed in tight in front of and behind a main landing gear wheel held the machine in place while the engine warmed up, during refueling and during ordinary parking on the ramp. In period photographs the chocks are often visible lying beside the landing gear or tied together with a rope, so that the crew could pull them clear with a single tug just before taxiing.
First wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, so that traces of mold release agent disappear. Separate the casting blocks with a fine saw and level the surface with sandpaper; protect your airways when sanding resin. On the model the parts are fixed with super glue. The wood comes out well when you add a dark wash in the gaps over a sand base and pick out the edges with a dry brush.
