Ammo Box Cal. .50 – early (1:35) is a resin accessory set of the American ammunition box for .50 caliber rounds from Firma49.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory set, not a stand-alone model. The package holds resin (3D-printed) ammunition boxes for American .50 caliber (12.7 mm) rounds in the early form, in 1:35 scale. They serve to bring dioramas to life and to detail military vehicles and figure scenes.
Metal ammunition boxes for the belts of the .50 caliber Browning M2 heavy machine gun were typical equipment of Allied vehicles and positions during the Second World War. The early form differs slightly in shape and detail from the later versions. In scenes the boxes appear stacked, open and scattered, and they give a setting scale and authenticity.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry. Before cutting off the supports it is a good idea to warm the resin in hot water so that it does not become brittle. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways while sanding. We recommend a base of filler primer and painting with an airbrush or a brush; a dark wash will bring out the recesses and a dry brush the edges.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
