The second figure of the pair with a contemporary Australian subject. The number in the name is the only distinguishing mark by which you can tell which of the two figures you are getting.

Use in a scene

The figure can be joined with the first of the pair into a shared scene, or used on its own beside a vehicle model. Open country, a dusty track and an improvised post are all subjects where a contemporary figure comes off naturally. The 1:35 scale places it at the most widespread size for dioramas with hardware, so bases, terrain elements and small accessories from a whole range of makers can be added to it without trouble.

Finishing and storage

Close the finished figure with a matte varnish in two thin passes; one heavy application would flood the detail of the face. If you have used pigments or oil shades, let them air for at least a day before varnishing, or the surface will go cloudy. Pick the figure up by its base, not by the body; fingerprints show on a matte surface and are hard to remove. In a display case protect it from direct sunlight, which will fade both pigments and varnish over time. Remove dust from a finished figure with a soft brush or a lens blower, never with compressed air from a spray can, which will tear small parts off. If you are transporting the figure to a competition, put it in a box lined with foam and fix it by the base so that it does not roll about inside.
