Responsibility details are not available.
A decal set in 1:35 scale from Star Decals with markings for the British light tracked vehicles of the CVR(T) family in Bosnia. The name gives the types Scimitar, Spartan and Sultan. It is an accessory to a model, not a kit.
The abbreviation CVR(T) denotes a British family of light tracked vehicles with a hull of aluminum alloys, designed so as to get even where a heavy tank would have to force its way through. The Scimitar is the reconnaissance version with a turret and a 30 mm cannon, the Spartan serves as a small armored personnel carrier for a handful of soldiers and the Sultan is a command vehicle with a raised body. It was exactly this combination that proved itself on the narrow mountain roads of Bosnia, where British units served in the 1990s within international operations. Besides British markings the vehicles also carried the bold recognition symbols of the mission.
CVR(T) vehicles are unusually small in 1:35 scale and the areas for markings are small and broken up by hatches, handles and bodies. Lay the position of the designs out dry and work with tweezers. Gloss varnish is enough laid on spot by spot; seat the decal with a soft brush and let a setting solution pull it down. Once it has dried, flatten the surface down and keep the weathering restrained, because peacekeeping vehicles tended to be looked after and exaggerated dirt would look out of place on them.
The package holds only decals. The model, the paints and the varnishes are not included.
