A set of Star Decals markings in 1:35 scale for the vehicles of the British 79th Armoured Division. The name gives the divisional sign and AoS markings.
The 79th Armoured Division was an exception in its day. It did not go into an attack as a complete formation but supplied the other units with specialized equipment for tasks an ordinary tank was not up to. Under it belonged amphibious tanks able to swim to the shore, mine-clearing machines with a rotating flail drum, engineer vehicles for destroying obstacles and vehicles with flamethrower armament. Its machines appeared wherever fortifications had to be broken through, a minefield driven across or an anti-tank ditch bridged, so you will meet the division's markings on vehicles in the middle of other formations' lineups.
Models of this division tend to have broken superstructures, add-on equipment and girders, so there are few smooth surfaces. Choose the placing before applying them and, if need be, divide the markings so that they lie on flat stretches. The engineer machines worked in soil and in rubble, so the patina can be pronounced; leave the sign legible, though, otherwise it will be lost in the dust.
The set holds markings exclusively; the vehicle itself and the paints you obtain separately.
