This item from the manufacturer PANZER ART is listed in its name as a set on the theme of a British light machine gun crew. It suits views from the time of the Second World War in which a human figure is to stand beside a vehicle or a terrain element. In 1:35 scale the range of ground equipment is the widest of all, so a setting for such a theme is easy to find.
The British Bren light machine gun derived from a Czechoslovak design and its name came about by joining the names of the two arms works that stood behind it. It fired from an open bolt, took its rounds from a curved magazine above the body of the weapon and served in units as the mainstay of the squad. It was made in several progressively simplified versions and later also saw a conversion to another round.
So that the figures come across naturally, unify the shade of the base with the footwear and the lower hem of the clothing, best with the same pigment as the one used on the terrain. Aim the gazes of the figures at one point; the viewer then reads the scene as a story. Lay the arrangement out dry in advance and photograph it, as shortcomings in the layout are revealed faster in a photograph than by the eye alone. Only once the placement suits you should you move on to fixing it firmly and to finishing the terrain around it.
