A medical figure in 1:35 scale completes the PANZER ART assortment with a theme that appears in dioramas far less often than fighting infantry. The NW Europe designation in the name places the scene in northwestern Europe at the close of the Second World War.
With British units the medics moved right within the formation and their work gave tension even to a calm scene. For a builder it is an advantageous theme: the figure works with its hands, so its position fits into a multi-figure group more naturally than a soldier standing on his own. The medical role also allows a scene to be built entirely without weapons, which will be appreciated by anyone who wants to take some of the harshness out of a scene.
The medical elements are painted last and as cleanly as possible, because it is precisely on them that the viewer focuses. Never apply the white surfaces with pure white from the bottle, but with a slightly grayed tone, which is then brightened only on the peaks. Keep the rest of the equipment in a muted brown-green range, so that the contrast stays only where you want to have it. Finish the hands and the face only after assembly, so that you have access from all sides.
The result rests on the painting that you prepare according to your own theme.
