A resin set of the crew of a British Sherman tank in 1:35 scale from the Polish brand PANZER ART, the manufacturer's part number FI35-216. The men wear the one-piece winter suits called the Pixie. It is a multi-figure crew set, the top step of this sub-range, in which the manufacturer lists the individual figures separately under the numbers FI35-213 and FI35-214 and the pair for the turret under FI35-215.
The Pixie suit was a one-piece winter garment of British tank crews: water-repellent canvas, a khaki lining and a detachable hood, which gave it its nickname. It was worn in north-west Europe in the winters of 1944 and 1945, when an unheated tank was unbearable in battledress alone. The Sherman was the most widespread British tank at that time and its crew consisted of five men: commander, gunner, loader, driver and radio operator.
Wash the castings in warm soapy water, cut off the casting blocks and sand wet. They are bonded with super glue. With a set of several figures it is worth dry-fitting them on the vehicle first and only then gluing them, because the hatches of the Sherman are narrow and the pose has to fit. Bring out the canvas with lighter tops of the folds and darker hollows. Apply the paint over a primer.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
