Birch Dry 1:35 is a set of laser-cut paper birch leaves in a dry autumn shade from the Czech manufacturer Model Scene. Intended for foliating model trees and bushes and as fallen leaves for a diorama.

The Birch Dry 1:35 set from the Czech manufacturer Model Scene contains fine laser-cut paper leaves with the small, pointed oval shape of a birch leaf, in a dry autumn color. It is not a tree and not finished vegetation but a loose leaf material for foliating your own tree or bush armature and for scattering over the surface of a scene. The small birch leaf is especially rewarding in 1:35 scale, where it reads as very fine.
The leaves are applied to a wire or natural tree armature, to a bush of seafoam, or sprinkled loose as litter along a path, at the foot of a wall and into the corners of a diorama. The manufacturer also recommends them as an enlivening addition to combat vehicles and to models of buildings — a few leaves caught on the running gear, on a superstructure or in a roof gutter give a scene instant scale and life. The dry color suits late autumn as well as a winter scene without snow.
Work on a base and with tweezers, as the leaves are very light and easily fly away. Spraying the armature with thin glue or matte varnish, sprinkling the leaves into it and shaking the excess back into the bag proves itself. For permanent anchoring, thinned PVA glue with a drop of dish soap is used, applied from above with a pipette. Once dry, it is worth shading the area gently with an airbrush or with pigments so that it does not look uniform; a light overspray also fixes loose pieces.
This is a modeling material, not a kit. The glue, the tree armature and the paints are not included in the package.
