A cutting blade from the Etch Slide tool line. A separate item, a tool for cutting.
Responsibility details are not available.
A cutting blade from the Etch Slide tool line. It is a modeling item for building, a tool for cutting. This is a consumable part, that is, a bare blade without a handle, not a finished tool. Which holder the blade belongs in, what size it is and which operation the manufacturer intends it for can be found in the manufacturer's instructions. Further blades of the same line carry the same name, so the item code, not the name, is what tells them apart.
A blunted edge does not cut the material, it pushes and tears it. The edge of the cut lifts, the plastic whitens where it is cut and the mark then has to be laboriously sanded away. A sharp blade goes through the same place under less pressure, so it does not slip and the cut stays clean. It is therefore worth keeping consumable blades in reserve and discarding a blunt one rather than trying to resharpen it.
It suits anyone who already uses the tools of the Etch Slide line and is replenishing consumables for them. The edges are sharp, so bear that in mind when handling it and keep the blade out of the reach of children. The holder, a handle and other tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
