A set of photo-etched metal parts from Eduard for refining the plastic kit of the British military Chevrolet truck of the 30 cwt class in 1:35 scale. It is not a vehicle model but a detailing accessory that replaces the thicker plastic features with thin photo-etched parts and adds fine details. The scope of the set is given in the enclosed instructions.
The Chevrolet 30 cwt belongs to the family of Canadian Military Pattern (CMP) military trucks, which served in large numbers with British and Allied units in the Second World War. The 30 cwt designation refers to a load class of thirty hundredweight, that is about one and a half tons. The trucks were built in many body versions for carrying both troops and cargo.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret, bend them in a bending tool and glue them with super glue. Detail the cab and the cargo bed before closing them up, so that you can reach the fine parts. Use a primer before painting; for a period patina, dust and mud pigments suit the chassis and the wheels.
The accessory does not include the model itself, glue or paints. It is intended for completing an existing kit.
