An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Churchill AVRE engineer tank with the Snake device in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer AFV Club. The kit contains a turret with a cast texture, suspension with metal springs, clear periscopes, photo-etched parts for the explosive tubes and the fuse, flexible tracks and a newly shaped Snake explosive device. The package holds decals for the British 79th Armoured Division. Take the exact contents from the manufacturer's instructions.
The Churchill was a British heavy infantry tank of the Second World War, valued for its thick armor and its ability to master steep slopes. The AVRE (Armoured Vehicle Royal Engineers) version served for engineer tasks. The Snake device consisted of a long tubular charge that the tank pushed out into a minefield and set off, thereby creating a passage. These conversions served mainly for trials and training.
First assemble the running gear with the suspension and then the hull with the turret. Use liquid modeling cement on the joints, work the flexible tracks and the photo-etched parts carefully, treat the surface with a primer and lay the finish on with an airbrush. You can create the muddy and dusty effects with washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
