It is not a model of the tank, nor a part of it that you would assemble on its own. The basic kit therefore has to be acquired separately. The point of such an exchange is simple: the new barrel has a truer outline at the muzzle and the work with a glued seam falls away.
The K2 Black Panther is a modern South Korean main battle tank taken into service in the last two decades. It carries a smoothbore gun of 120 millimeters caliber with a lengthened barrel, whose domestic designation CN08 has carried over into the name of this part as well. It is precisely the slender long outline of the barrel that is characteristic of the silhouette of the K2.
Cut the original barrel off as close as possible to the mantlet of the turret and level the seating surface. Try the new part dry, and only then glue it. Choose a glue with a firm bond and take care that the barrel sits horizontally, because every deviation is conspicuous on the finished turret. It helps if you lay the model on its side while it dries and keep aligning the axis against the edge of the turret. Haste does not pay off here; correction after drying tends to be difficult.
