Responsibility details are not available.
This resin accessory model in 1:35 scale depicts the Czechoslovak 8 cm mortar vz. 36. The set is cast in resin and serves either as a scenic element on its own or as an addition to figures and vehicles in Second World War dioramas. It is not a complete vehicle but a faithful model of a crew-served weapon.
The 8 cm mortar vz. 36 was part of the armament of the Czechoslovak army in the second half of the 1930s and followed the light infantry mortar concept common at the time. The weapon consisted of a barrel, a bipod and a baseplate and was used for indirect fire at short and medium ranges. After 1939 captured examples also entered foreign service, which makes the mortar an interesting subject for scenes from various theaters.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut the casting blocks away carefully and sand the mating surfaces, using respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply primer before painting; a dark base suits the metal parts, and washes and pigments for mud and dust effects will add the patina.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
