Eduard 1:35 DUKW British Army interior is a photo-etched detail set for refining the interior of the DUKW amphibious vehicle. It is not a model but an accessory for a plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set contains fine brass photo-etched parts intended for detailed improvement of the interior of the DUKW amphibious cargo vehicle in the British Army version. It is not a standalone model but an accessory that is fitted into a plastic kit of that vehicle in 1:35 scale. The photo-etched parts replace and supplement the plastic ones wherever an injection mold could not capture thin and intricate elements.
The DUKW was an American six-wheeled amphibious cargo truck of the Second World War period, derived from the chassis of the GMC truck. It carried troops and supplies from ships directly to the shore in landing operations. Vehicles of this type were used by British Army units as well, among other places in the Normandy landings and in Italy.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a glass or other hard surface and form the bends with a bending tool or two rulers. Use cyanoacrylate glue for the photo-etched parts. Degrease the surface and apply primer before painting so that the paint holds well on the smooth brass. It is best to finish and paint the interior before closing up the hull.
The set is an accessory, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
